Giuliana Lucero, LCSW

Hi, I’m Giuliana. I was born in South America, I love traveling, trying new foods, and enjoy visiting the different museums in Washington, D.C. I am bilingual, which enables me to provide services in English and Spanish.

I am a licensed clinical social worker. I graduated from the University of North Dakota with a master’s degree in social work. While in school, I had the wonderful opportunity to complete a couple of internships. My first internship was at a memory care facility, where I met some of my favorite people. I worked with older adults who were experiencing cognitive decline, Alzheimer’s disease, Parkinson’s disease, and other neurodegenerative diseases. My second internship was with a hospice agency, where I worked with individuals who were at the end of life. Through this experience, I learned to live in the present moment, embrace my mortality, and appreciate my shared humanity. These two internships touched my life in so many ways and have profoundly influenced my approach to therapy.

My years of experience include working for Loudoun County Family Services in the area of adult protective services and adult services, as well as Fairfax Area Agency on Aging in the area of family caregiving and adult & aging services, and Fairfax Community Service Board in the area of behavioral health outpatient services with young adults who experienced their first episode of psychosis.

When I am not working, I love spending time with my husband and two children, hiking, bike riding, or exploring new coffee shops in the Northern Virginia region.
